George Wild Child Butler was born in Alabama. Already playing in blues bands down south his fortunes took a turn when he moved to Chicago and began playing with Willie Dixon and other blues notables releasing an album in 1969
In 1981 he moved to Windsor and began playing with Stu Heydon. Commenting on his time playing with George Stu says "Wild Child phoned me one day and asked if I would form a band for him. We ended up playing all over North America for 10 years. Can't tell you how many musicians we went through. We really got around. Chicago bf Montreal jf Buddy Guy's ETC. He was a very good bluesman and friend.......Love you George!"
By the 1990's George was recording music in England and 2 albums were released. On March 1st 2005 the blues world lost a great one. May he rest in peace.
